আপনারা নিশ্চই জানেন মাইক্রোসফট উইন্ডোজ ৮ বের করার জন্য কাজ করছে। ইতোমধ্যে এর ডেভেলপার প্রিভিউ এবং কনজিউমার প্রিভিউ নামে দুটি বেটা ভার্সনও বের করা হয়েছে। এর মূল বৈশিষ্ট্যর মধ্যে রয়েছে মেট্রো স্টাইল। তা ছাড়া উইন্ডোজ ৮ এ আমার নিজের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে যা দেখলাম স্টার্টআপ স্পিড, শাটডাউন স্পিড, সফটওয়্যার চালু হওয়ার স্পিড Ovarally সম্পূর্ন কম্পিউটারের স্পিড উইন্ডোজ ৭ এর তুলনায় অনেক বাড়ানো হয়েছে। যারা স্পিড কমে যাওয়ার ভয়ে ৭ চালাচ্ছেন না; XP তে পড়ে আছেন তারা উইন্ডোজ ৮ ব্যবহার করতে পারেন। একবার ব্যবহার করলে আর ছাড়তে চাইবেন না 

কিন্তু আপনি এর কনজিউমার প্রিভিউ ভার্সনটি ইনস্টল করার পর একটা সমস্যায় অবশ্যই পড়বেন।(ডেভেলপার প্রিভিউ আমি ব্যবহার করি নাই; এতেও এসমস্যাটি থাকতে পারে) তা হল এতে আপনি ডটনেট ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক ইনস্টল করতে পারবেন না। যদিও ইন্টারনেট থাকলে তা ডাউনলোড করতে পারবেন । কিন্তু আপনার উইন্ডোজ ৮ এর সিডিতেই যদি তা থাকে তাহলে কেন ব্যন্ডউইথ খরচ করে ডটনেট ইনস্টল করবেন!

সিডিতেই আছে তাহলে উইন্ডোজ সেটাপের সময় ইনস্টল হয়না কেন?

সিডি থেকে ইনস্টলের উপায় কি আছে?

হা আছে। তাই এখন নিচে বর্ননা করা হবে 

উপরের সমস্যার সমাধানের জন্য নিচের ধাপ গুলো অনুসরণ করুনঃ

1. প্রথমে উইন্ডোজ ৮ এর ডিস্ক ডিভিডি ড্রাইভে প্রবেশ করান।

2. এবার স্টার্টমেনুতে যেতে যেখানে ক্লিক করতে হয় (বামে নিচে কোনে) সেখানে মাউস পয়েন্টার রেখে রাইট ক্লিক করুন; যে মেনু আসবে সেখান থেকে Command Prompt (Admin) এ ক্লিক করুন।

3. এবার Command Prompt উইন্ডোতে নিচের কোডটি কপি-পেষ্ট করুন। তবে কোডটিতে যেখানে :K: লেখা আছে সেখানে আপনার ডিভিডি ড্রাইভের লেটারটি দিতে হবে; উপরের ১ম ধাপের চিত্র থেকে বুঝতেই পারছেন আমার ডিভিডির ড্রাইভ লেটার K ; তাই এখানে :K: ব্যবহার করেছি। কপি-পেষ্ট বা কোডটি লেখা শেষে শুধু Enter চপুন এবং অপেক্ষা করুন।

dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /Source:K:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

কাজ শেষ হতে কয়েক মিনিট সময় লাগবে। ৬০% এর পর মনে হবে বেজে আছে। কিন্তু চিন্তার কারন নেই একটু অপেক্ষা করুন, দেখবেন কাজ শেষ হয়ে গেছে 

কাজ শেষ হলে উপরের চিত্রের মত “The operation completed successfully.” দেখাবে।

[নোটঃ ডটনেট ফ্রেমওয়ার্ক হচ্ছে একধরনের সাহায্যকারী সফটওয়্যার যা ছাড়া অনেক সফটওয়্যার এমনকি অনেক গেমও চলতে পারে না। তাই এটি ইনস্টল করা অবশ্যই জরুরী।]

বিঃ দ্রঃ উইন্ডোজ ৮ এ এটি সেটআপে সমস্যা করলে সেটআপ ফাইলে রাইট ক্লিক করে Propertise এ ক্লিক করুন; তারপর Compatibility ট্যাবে গিয়ে Compatibility mode থেকে Run this program in compativility mode for: এ টিক দিয়ে Previous version of Windows সিলেক্ট করে OK ক্লিক করে বের হয়ে আসুন এবং তারপর সেটআপ করুন। তাহলেই আর কোন সমস্যা হবে না।

উপরের মত Net Speed Monitor এর টাস্কবার স্ক্রিন চালু করতে Net Speed Monitor ইনস্টল করে টাস্কবারে রাইট ক্লিক করে Toolbars > NetSpeedMonitor এ ক্লিক করুন। তাহলেই Net Speed Monitor এর টাস্কবার স্ক্রিনটি টাস্কবারে দেখতে পাবেন।

Net Speed Monitor কাস্টমাইজ/সেটিং করতে টাস্কবার থেকে Net Speed Monitor এর স্ক্রিনের উপর রাইট ক্লিক করে Configuration এ ক্লিক করুন। তাহলে Configuration উইন্ডো চালু হবে। যেখান থেকে আপনি Net Speed Monitor কাস্টমাইজ করতে পারবেন।

আমি উপরে Net Speed Monitor এর টাস্কবার স্ক্রিনের যে স্ক্রিনসটটি দিয়েছি আপনি শুরুতে সেরকম দেখবেন না। কারন কিছু সেটিং পরিবর্তন করার পর স্ক্রিনসটটি নেয়া। আমার পছন্দের সেই সেটিং গুলো আপনাদের সাথে শেয়ার করছি। আশা করি এগুলো কাজে লাগবে।

Net Speed Monitor কাস্টমাইজ করতে প্রথমে Configuration চালু করুন। তারপর General ট্যাব থেকে Bitrate থেকে kB/sদেখিয়ে দিন।

এবার Layout ট্যাব থেকে Font গ্রুপ থেকে antialiased থেকে ClearType দেখিয়ে দিন, Change Lineorder এ টিক চিহ্ন দিন এবং Value Width থেকে 4 সিলেক্ট করে দিন।

আপনি Net Speed Monitor এর টাস্কবার স্ক্রিনে মাউস পয়েন্টার রাখলে নিচের মত টুলটিপস্ দেখতে পাবেন।

এটি বন্ধ করতে চাইলে Tooltips ট্যাবে গিয়ে Enable Toolbar Tooltip থেকে টিক চিহ্ন উঠিয়ে দিন। কাজ শেষ; এবার Apply এবংOK দিয়ে বের হয়ে আসুন।
